This App is a kind of catalogue. It shows 8 miniature images of etchings (aquatint and drypoint). These eight etchings were created to illustrate "Der rote Strich" ("The Red Line") a short story by the german writer Walter Serner.
Walter Serner, who lived from 1889 till 1942, was a member of the dadaist movement. "The red line" was published first in 1921 as part of a collection of 33 criminal stories. In 1933 Serners books were banned by the government of Nazi Germany.
My etchings try to capture the spirit of this long gone time.
